Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you want to get your TV mounted by a professional, look no further. Chris provides excellent service at a fair price, responds quickly to messages, turns up on time, and is a pleasure to deal with. I wasn’t sure what type of wall I had and whether it would support my TV, so he kindly dropped by to assess it and provide a quote before we booked the installation. I’m very happy with the result and highly recommend Elite AV.

FAQs On Media Wall Installations

Q: What should I consider before building a bespoke media wall?
A: The main factors are your wall’s total dimensions, room lighting layout, seating distance, and the number of AV devices you need to store. It is also crucial to plan whether you want to integrate an electric fireplace, as this requires specific fire-rated plasterboard lining and dedicated electrical circuits.
Q: How do I choose the correct television screen and soundbar size?
A: Your hardware choice should complement the overall scale of the timber framework. As a general design rule, the custom recessed cavity for your television should be slightly larger than the screen to allow for future upgrades, while the audio soundbar cavity should sit perfectly flush beneath it to achieve a balanced line of sight.
Q: Can you seamlessly integrate a media wall into an existing smart home system?
A: Yes, absolutely. We can integrate your custom multimedia build into popular smart home ecosystems. This allows you to smoothly manage your television, multi-room audio, and built-in ambient LED backlighting networks through a single smartphone application or automated voice commands.
Q: How long does a standard media wall installation take from start to finish?
A: A complete custom project—including timber stud-work construction, first-fix electrical wiring, plasterboard lining, plaster skimming, and final AV hardware calibration—typically takes between 3 to 5 working days, depending entirely on the complexity and scale of the design.
Q: What kind of ongoing maintenance does a media wall require?
A: Ongoing structural maintenance is completely minimal. On the technical side, we construct our walls with integrated cable management tracks or hidden conduit piping. This ensures that if you ever need to replace an HDMI wire or update an AV receiver in the future, you can pull new cables through effortlessly without damaging the plaster.
Q: Do you offer a warranty or technical support after the build is complete?
A: Yes. For your complete peace of mind, Elite AV & Electrical backs all of our structural carpentry, custom joinery, and domestic electrical wiring with a comprehensive workmanship warranty, coupled with responsive local tech support whenever you need a system tweak.
